My professional narrative

I have always been captivated by personal narrative and the way people make meaning in their lives. This passion fueled my early career as an editor and eventually lead me to psychology. I believe that the stories we tell about our lives have incredible power to affect how we feel, express ourselves, and move through the world. Therapy offers people a unique space to explore these personal stories and create new narratives that better match their values.

I have extensive experience working with adults coping with life transitions, relationship issues, work-life balance, parenting, grief and loss, traumatic and specific mental health challenges including anxiety, depression, and PTSD.

In addition to my clinical work, I have worked in behavioral health leadership, practice-based research, policy development, outreach and program development, and psychology training.
